CS: Go: Heroic fires and sued coach dogs - because of betrayal

The Danish team Heroic enters InCounterstrike: Global Offensive (CS: Go). They are now raising serious allegations against their boss trainer Nicolai "Dogs" Petersen (30): He should have betrayed the strategy of his team to an opponent before an important tournament in Cologne. Heroic has fired the coach and sued him.

This tournament is : The IEM Cologne 2021 is one of the most important tournaments in CS: Go. The tournament was played as part of the Intel Extreme Masters season XVI. It found from 8.7. Until 18.7. in Cologne. The ESPORT tournament 972,000 $ prize money was distributed.

The tournament won the professionals of Navi around the cult player "S1MPLE". They sagged $ 400,000 prize money. The Danish team Heroic only landed in 7th place and got $ 24,000 prize money.

Team locks coach before tournament - which should be betrayed by rivals

These are the allegations of HEROIC: in a statement on Twitter says Heroic (via Twitter): You have fired your boss coach Nicolai "Dogs" Petersen on July 28th. Heroic believes that before, the following went down:

  • Before the tournament in Cologne, Heroic had decided that dogs would not attend the tournament - due to "serious trust problems"
  • Dogs subsequently blocked the team members accessing the folder with the team strategy
  • It has been found that dogs "confidential and important information" has passed on from this folder to a key person of a rival, nor before the tournament
  • Nobody knows about Heroic - and no one would have approved this
  • Heroic sees this as a clear breach of contract
  • One has initiated a court process in Denmark. Two courts would have decided independently that there are enough reasons for evidence that evidence can be collected
  • The incident was reported to the leagues
  • The contract of dogs was terminated by Heroic

In a statement, Heroic says how disappointed one is of the behavior of his coach. That should not be accepted.

One is particularly disappointed because one has granted dogs a second chance, because that was banned for exploiting the "Spectator Bug" yes from CS: Go.

Coach denies all allegations

That says dogs: He had published a statement, even before his release was publicly (via Twitter). He thanked Heroic for the great time and the many successes, but said he decided to extend instead of extending his contract, rather to break up a new chapter when his contract ends with Heroic.

Heroic and he had been a "Perfect Match", but the last events are very regrettable.

There are rumors, he shared the tactical book of Heroic. He denies that. Something he would never do. Dogs say he had only "anti-strat" material of the opponents divided as part of sparring matches. But he neither shared his own tactics of Heroic spoken. He will now work with the leagues and competent situations.

Dogs was one of the first coaches punished in CS: Go because they had used an exploit. He sat down a penalty of 8 months and then came back to Heroic. But apparently not for long:

3 coaches cheat in CS: Go, are punished hard - they have done
