Adieu, PS5 scarcity? A new report on the part of Sony lets one end of the console deficiency. The company is great goals and also reveals how it wants to comply with it.

Is the PS5 available again soon?

Since the launch of the PS5, the Next-Gen console is mainly known for one thing: it is constantly out-of-stock and completely sold out. After months of silence, Sony makes the players again hopes that this emergency will change soon.

In a conversation with investors and analysts, Sony's financial board confirmed the following (Source: TwinFinite):

Sony has secured all necessary semiconductors to continue the production of the PS5 as planned. The sales goals, which the company has set itself this year, should be adhered to.

This is Sony's goal: In this fiscal year, a total of more than 14.8 million consoles should be sold. So far, 10.1 million consoles were sold this year. So, the company plans to produce over 4.7 million ps5 this year and to offer for sale.

What changes concrete now?

That Sony acts so confident is due to the already mentioned semiconductors. The missing chips were held, besides scalper, so far as one of the main reasons for the PS5 scarcity. The home consoles could therefore be produced very slowly ** and were then often bought by people who sold them more expensive.

Scalper will probably still be there in the future. But Sony may possibly offer consoles in the future in such large numbers, yet that still sufficient hardware for normal players remains. At least in theory. How Sony's sales strategy will look like in the coming months will still show.
