The Last of Us: Neil Printant probably leads to the series directie

The Lead Writer and Game Director The The Last of Us games is also significantly involved in the series.

One of the most exciting and promising projects in the field of video game films is the The Last of Us series from HBO - not only because the US pay TV channel is generally known for high quality productions, but also because with Craig Mazin and Neil Printant very renowned people work. MATZIN is executive producer as well as co-author and draws for the multi-award-winning Miniserie Chernobyl from 2019. Printant, in turn, has been co-president of Naughty Dog and both Game Director and Lead Writer of the two The Last of Us games since the end of 2020 co-president. In the series he writes together with Mazin the scripts and apparently he will lead to at least one sequence.

The colleagues of VGC report that printman is listed on the website of the Directors Guild of Canada as one of five directors for the first season of The Last of Us . However, we have not found anything on that side. VGC has only linked the home page and not the list from which the article is talking about.

The production of the series is progressing well. At the end of August, Kantemir Balagov posted the director of the pilot sequence, on Instagram that his job was done. The first episode is already turned off. But until the first season of the first season, however, it will take a while. That should only be the case in June 2022. So you probably have to wait at least until the summer of next year until you can see the Game of Thrones Stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie on your TV.
